Meet Youtube's 'Black Voices' Class of 2020
P.Priime, Telz, Ckay, Omah Lay join 49 other creatives from U.S., Nigeria, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Uganda, UK and Canada as members of #YouTubeBlack Voices Class of 2022

This campaign sees YouTube give back to music makers (artists, songwriters, producers etc.) of color. Each member will receive partner support, seed funding to help develop their channels, bespoke training, workshops and access to networking programs from the company.

The 53 classmates will be mentored by Slick Rick The Ruler and also have the opportunity to co-write and collaborate musically.

Class of 2021 included Fireboy, Sauti Sol, Sho Madjozi and other Youtube creators like Dimma Umeh, Akah Nnani etc.

“In the aftermath of the tragic and shameful killing of George Floyd in June, we wanted to dial up and show our commitment to this community in a new way,” said Malik Ducard, YouTube’s VP of responsibility speaks at the campaign’s inauguration.
