Larry Gaaga, Sipho Dlamini, Naomi Campbell Helm Gamma's Expansion into Africa and the Middle East

With Nigeria being Gamma's African headquarter, Gaaga will shuttle between Lagos, Nigeria, and Dubai for this role

Gamma, a media and technology company, has made its way into Africa and appointed Sipho Dlamini as President, Africa & Middle East; Larry Gaaga as Vice President/General Manager, West Africa and Arab artist/DJ, Dany Neville as Vice President, A&R, Middle East.

Both Gaaga and Dlamini join Gamma from their roles at Universal Music Group as Vice President of Def Jam Africa and CEO SA & Sub-Saharan Africa respectively.

Larry Jackson, who previously served as Apple Music's global creative director for a notable seven-year period, is the founder of Gamma. The company’s overarching goal is to collaborate with major artists and brands, with endeavors in music, films, merchandise, fashion, web3, and more. Larry Jackson co-founded the company alongside Ike Youssef, the former CFO of Interscope and Gamma has since garnered support from renowned investors, including Eldridge Industries led by Todd Boehly, Apple, and the indie film studio A24.

Having established offices in New York, London, Miami, Nashville, and Dubai, Gamma is now expanding to Africa and stationing its headquarters in Nigeria. However, Gaaga’s role will be based in Lagos, Nigeria, and Dubai.

The company’s expansion into Africa and the Middle East is further bolstered by the involvement of supermodel Naomi Campbell, who has taken on the role of Special Advisor to Gamma focusing on Africa & Middle East.

In December, Gamma acquired distribution platform Vydia and has since struck podcast deals with Naomi Campbell and The Shade Room founder, Angelica Nwandu.
