This dual agreement marks the inception of Joeboy’s entertainment imprint called Young Legend, while simultaneously becoming Warner Music’s newest flagship talent from Africa. This move signals Joeboy’s the end of Joeboy’s five-year run with Mr Eazi’s Empawa, where he released two EPs (Love & Light; Body, Soul & Spirit), two albums (Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Body & Soul) and several chart-topping singles that have amassed about 2 billion streams across major streaming platforms.

Under the newly formed Young Legend label, Joeboy assumes the role of CEO, while Deola Jaiyesimi takes the helm as Head of Label, tasked with the responsibility of nurturing the next wave of Afrobeats talents.

In a recent sit-down video where Joeboy delves into the essence of Young Legend, he mentions his agelong fascination with the journey of nurturing artists into superstars.
